The artist I chose as my inspiration is Wayne Higby. He was born in 1943. He makes vessels and sculptures, and he even is an architect. He has has been making these for over 40 years now. Higby is currently a professor and the Robert C. Turner Chair of Ceramic Art at the New York State College of Ceramics. His sculptures are organic. The look like mountain ranges etc. The colours he uses usually in his artwork are blue, brown, grey and white. His sculptures also look like a bit of an optical illusions, as they look a bit like paintings. I have put some pictures of his work below:
